The following is our mission statement for the Shadyside Alpaca Farm. As we learn and grow
this mission might change a bit to reflect our current situation. We will always do our
best to provide a home for healthy and happy alpacas. We hope to always be participants
in the alpaca community and helpful individuals.
The Shadyside Alpaca Farm Mission
- To create an alpaca farm that raises healthy and happy alpacas for fleece production and
great family companions.
- Continuously learn about alpacas and how to care for them.
- Generate income by working to help create a viable fiber market for alapca fleece.
- Pass along a good work ethic to our children.
- Continue on with the family farm that has over 100 years of family history.
- Purchasing or breeding alpacas that will be high enough quality to win some level of show ribbons.
- Run a profitable online store using mainly alpaca based products.
- Create a visitor friendly farm that will help to educate interested farmers, current farmers and
all others about alpacas and the quality products that are made from thier fleece.
- Grow the farm size and faucilities to support a breeding program as well as the potential to board
alpacas on our farm.
- Maintain our farm memberships in AOBA and ARI.
